Mindfulness and Hypnotherapy

Written by: | Posted on: | Category:

Stress and anxiety can seem to be a constant traveller in many of our lives. So much so, it can almost be difficult to imagine a life without it. I have found that a combination of hypnotherapy and mindfulness techniques can be very powerful to help manage and reduce anxiety in the long-term.

Our subconscious mind is a bit like an autopilot, providing responses, behaviors, and thought patterns based on years of experiences and habits. Sometimes, these patterns can become unhelpful, leading to a cycle of negative thinking and behavior. In my practice, I use hypnotherapy to talk to the part of the mind that controls the autopilot, the subconscious, by guiding my clients into a state of deep relaxation.

Through hypnotherapy sessions, I create a calming space where my clients can relax into the narrow focus needed to allow me to have a direct conversation with the subconscious mind and start positive changing these old patterns.

Along with this, I also use mindfulness, the practice of being present in the moment without judgment, to support my hypnotherapy sessions. By combining hypnosis and mindfulness, it gives my clients the benefit of being able to listen to the hypnotherapy sessions at times when they are able to close their eyes and relax, and to practice tools and techniques in their waking daily lives too.

The techniques I share with my clients aren't just for the sessions only, they become lifelong skills. Even I continue to use the techniques on a daily basis. I certainly practice what I preach!
